Mojo 118

I feel like I haven't stamped in weeks! I have been focused on completing Christmas gifts. Today I finally had time to sit in my craft room and create. Here is the card I created based on this week's Mojo sketch.

Merry Christmas!

Here at the Hammond house we are in full Christmas mode. My craft room is covered in wrapping paper, projects waiting to be completed, fabric scraps, dog toys and more. It's my own Santa's workshop - now if I could just find some elves... I love this time of year! I wanted to wish everyone a fantastic Christmas may your day be filled with love and joy!

Much Love from Ruff Life & the Pup-pups.
PS: This photo is of Louis the only pup-pup who would cooperate during our "photo shoot" for our Christmas card. (Which I was waiting to shoot till we had a snow on the ground because we had the perfect caption. Needless to say we were unable to get the perfect pic. and will have to keep the caption for another year. What can you do when your models have so many things to sniff?)

PPA20 & Mojo116

I finally have a moment to sit down and do a challenge. It seems like I've had something going on since Thanksgiving. I took a break today from making Christmas gifts to make a birthday card for a party tonight. I thought "why not combine this week's challenges?" Here is what I came up with:
Take the Mojo Monday Sketch
Plus the Pals Paper Arts Color Challenge

And you get this:

A Pup-Pup Christmas

It's become a tradition in our home that the "pup-pups" are featured on our Christmas Cards. There are the last four years, as you can see Ruby joined the pack in 2007. I like to get out the previous cards before I begin working on the new card and I thought I'd share. This year's card will be great! If we can get the picture just right. Stay tuned to see the lasted Pup-pup Christmas Card.

PS: The word Pup-pup is from my cousin Clancy who called her dogs pup-pups when she was about 2 and couldn't say puppy. I liked it have called my pack the pup-pups ever since - thanks Clancy!

PPA18 - Kiss

After some technical difficulty I finally have my pictures loaded! Yippy! I created this card using my scraps again. I have a small obsession with bling at the moment, but I do think the three little jewels add a little something.

Rudolph the Red Nosed Reindeer

I love Rudolph so it only made sense that I add the red jewel to the tip of the nose on the Dasher stamp. We made this card at my Christmas card class on the 11th. I think it might be my favorite out of the 5 designs I had to choose from. I love the oversided red jewel on the bow too!

Card Recipe:
Paper:
Cardstock - Real Red, Chocolate Chip, Certainly Celery & Very Vanilla
DSP - Merry Moments

Stamps & Ink:
Dasher & Four the Holidays
Old Olive ink

Embellisments:
Real Red ribbon
jewels

PPA16 - Christmas Cheer

This card is made up of scraps from a Christmas card class I hosted last week. I need to start using my scraps more and thought why not now on this challenge. Using scraps also cut down on the design and production time of the card since almost everything is pre cut. I love the Merry Moments DSP paper-it's definitely my style. I combined it with a strip of old olive and some emblishments an a Christmas card was born.

Card Recipe:
Paper:
Card Stock - Chocolate Chip, Old Olive & Very Vanilla
DSP - Merry Moments

Stamps & Ink:
Four the Holidays

Embellishments:

Mojo Monday 112

Here is my card inspired from the Mojo Sketch this week. I wanted to do something fun -everytime I look at this card it reminds me of the bright hard Christmas candy.

Mojo Monday 111

It definitely feels like fall outside - the leaves are falling, the air is crisp and cool and warm cup of soup always sounds perfect. With all that in mind I couldn't get away from the Autumn Splendor stamp set and the Autumn Meadows DSP, add a few embellishments of ribbon, brads and a button and voila! a Mojo card was born.

Card Recipe:

Paper:
Card Stock - chocolate chip, very vanilla & kraft (for the card)
DSP - Autumn Meadows

Stamps:
Autumn Spendor (leaf)
Grateful Greetings

Ink:

Embellishments:

Ribbon - chocolate chip & linen thread
Button - chocolate chip

Thankful

Below is the "Thankful" banner we created at my last class. This was the template for the participants. We used chocolate chip card stock to create the flags, autumn splendor stamp set, autumn meadows DSP, and inks in chocolate chip, more mustard, and dusty durango. I love the way it turned out!

PPA 114 - In the Pink

I've had this hope sign and didn't know what to do with it. It was all back and didn't really fit anywhere in my house. I love the way this turned out. It makes me smile every time I look at it. Which is important with thinking about "hope". I hope and pray that someday we will have a cure for this disease but until then don't forget to do your monthly self breast exams and if you are 40 or older to get your yearly mammogram.

PPA 113 - Anything but a card

I had lots of ideas for this challenge but not as much time. I made this banner for my house and am making a similar mini banner this weekend - it's a "Thankful" banner. This was my test run to make sure I wanted to do the class. It was fun and easy to make!

PPA10 - Gratitude and Thanks

I put this little box together today with the idea that I would use them at one of my Stampin' Up classes. I plan on giving a goodie box to each person in attendance at my November classes as a "thank you" for supporting me.

Project Basics:
I punched out a hole in each side of the box with the 1 1/4 inch circle punch then placed a sheet of vellum inside the box. I punched scalloped circles out of chocolate chip, pumpkin pie, old olive, and ruby red card stock. I had the coordinating buttons and ribbon on hand.

Mojo 106

Here is my Mojo Monday card. I created it for my new nephew's shower gift. I have included a picture of the gift. His nursery is jungle themed.

Card Recipe:
Paper:
Card Stock - kraft, soft suede, crushed curry, not quite navy, ruby red and certainly celery
Stamps:
Teeny Tiny Wishes
Since I'm new to Stampin' Up I don't have all the stamps I would like but I'm working on it. The Spirals in the back are from and old stamp set but the SU one I would use is the Whimsy jumbo roller.
